Double The Trouble
Luc and Aidan Wrigley are 12 year old identical twin fiddlers. Backed by their dad on guitar, they perform traditional Metis Fiddle music along with some of their favorite contemporary songs by groups such as the Duhks, Bedouin Soundclash and, Mumford and Sons, just to name a few. These bilingual fiddlers have already had many amazing opportunities performing, and in July of 2015, they celebrated the release of “Keep Calm and Fiddle on”, their first full length CD. Last summer they enjoyed their first 2 week tour from Winnipeg to Jasper and Banff with many shows and stops along the way.
Double the Trouble have been playing fiddle for 8 years and performing for 7. At the age of six they performed at the MTS Centre as part of the Aboriginal People's Choice Awards and have been regulars at the Festival du Voyageur since they were 7. Other notable events have included performances at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 2014, 2 trips to perform in Churchill Mb. and in 2013 they won the Winnipeg regional auditions to perform at Trout Forest Music Festival in Earfalls Ontario. Most recently they were chosen to perform at Aboriginal Day Live at the Forks.
